Kelley Bates-Hodges is a private care manager in California who serves the city of Long Beach, California and surrounding areas.  She has a Masters and Bachelors Degree in Social Work from California State University at Long Beach, a Masters Degree in Gerontology from California State University at Dominguez Hills and is a certified care manager.  She has owned and operated her own business as a care manager since 2004.  She continues to work in the public sector as a Resident Service Coordinator for a senior HUD apartment building with over 300 residents since 2002.       In her career she has performed case management for senior HUD building residents, Medi-Cal recipients with the Multipurpose Senior Services Program and provied Information and Referral for a local senior center.  She has also performed money management, case management and volunteer coordination for local senior programs.   She has assisted both seniors and younger disabled throughout my career and will continue to do so.  She often works with many community physicians, facilities, and local resources.  She enjoys this population and targeted her education in order to enhance the quality of people's lives while still appreciating the opportunity to have a rewarding field of practice. Since completing her MSW in May of 2011 she is working towards obtaining LCSW licensure and expanding her care management business while also continuing to serve older adults and aging services in the greater Long Beach area.  She has been a member of Agencies and Programs on Aging for the Long Beach area for many years and will continue to advocate for the needs of the older adult population.
